About Me

Hey there! My name is Taimour (pronounced 'Taimoor'), welcome to my website.

I'm currently serving as a Project Lead at Taraki, where I've been managing and internationally scaling a mental health peer support education program. This program is being funded by Movember and has been implemented in countries like Canada and Australia.

Before transitioning into the mental health sector, I spent 7 years working in marketing. During that time, I specialized in paid media, SEO, and social media - all of which have nicely complemented my growing skills in project management.

This website is a portfolio showcasing my comprehensive and developing work in both project management and mental health education. I'm really passionate about these areas and look forward to connecting with you!

What I do

  • At my core, I'm a seasoned project manager with a proven track record. I specialize in managing complex social change projects on an international scale.

What sets me apart is my keen eye for detail. I always ensure that project deliverables are met with the utmost integrity, while also prioritizing the well-being of all involved stakeholders.

My breadth of experience has allowed me to hone my project management skills to a high degree. I'm adept at juggling multiple moving pieces, mitigating risks, and guiding teams to successful outcomes.

Whether I'm spearheading the launch of a new initiative or streamlining an existing program, I bring a methodical yet adaptable approach to every endeavor. My end goal is simple - to drive meaningful impact through strategic, impactful project management.

  • I'm a facilitator at heart - it's one of the first key skills I developed and refined throughout my journey.

I offer facilitation services across a wide range of subjects, including mental health, climate change, and research purposes (e.g. roundtables). My facilitation approach is centered on engaging participants, cultivating thoughtful discussions, and working towards meaningful outcomes.

In addition to my facilitation skills, I also specialize in curriculum development and delivery for social change projects. I take pride in creating educational materials and learning experiences that inspire and empower participants to drive positive impact.

  • For over a decade now, I've been working at the grassroots level, gaining invaluable experience and insights. Drawing on this deep well of knowledge, I now proudly serve as both a consultant and a lived experience advisor across a diverse range of projects.

Whether it's providing guidance for PhD research studies or contributing to charity-led initiatives, I bring a unique, first-hand perspective to the table. My ability to connect theory with real-world realities is a key asset that allows me to make meaningful contributions.

By seamlessly blending my on-the-ground experience with robust research and analytical skills, I'm able to offer a well-rounded, holistic approach to the projects I'm involved in. My goal is to ensure that the work being done truly resonates with and uplifts the communities it aims to serve.

This grassroots expertise, coupled with my lived experience, is a core part of who I am and how I approach my work. It's what allows me to be a valuable thought partner and collaborator across a wide spectrum of endeavors.

  • I'm a firm believer in the principle of "nothing about us without us" - a motto that guides much of my work. In addition to my other roles, I proudly serve as a qualitative researcher for projects specifically aimed at supporting and uplifting marginalized, racialized communities.

By centering the voices and lived experiences of these communities, I'm able to bring a uniquely informed, empathetic perspective to the research process. My goal is to ensure that the projects I'm involved in truly reflect the needs, concerns, and aspirations of the people they're intended to serve.

Whether it's conducting in-depth interviews, facilitating focus groups, or analyzing data, I approach each research endeavor with a deep commitment to equity and inclusion. I see my role as not just a researcher, but as a conduit for elevating marginalized narratives and driving meaningful, community-led change.

This passion for amplifying underrepresented voices is woven throughout my work. It's a core part of my identity and guides my approach as a consultant, advisor, and qualitative researcher.

“Taimour was able to navigate through and connect with colleagues in every conversation and engagement, irrespective of their cultural background and language diversities.

He was a real asset and we’re so grateful to have had his expertise and time.”

Client Testimonials

Micky Khurana

Head of Regional Ethics & Compliance EMEA, Meta

“Taimour and I connected online (Facebook, naturally) after I read his blog on body image from a South Asian perspective. A lot in there resonated with me, and so I invited him to have a fireside chat with South Asian employees at Meta London. I found him challenging, engaging, and incredibly perceptive. He brought compassion to everything he spoke to, and was driven by a deep desire to improve people's lives. I could not recommend him working with him enough.”

Laura Carter

Senior Researcher, Public Sector Algorithms, Ada Lovelace Institute

“Taimour facilitated a thoughtful, sensitive and in-depth session at our staff retreat. He helped us think through different aspects of our own identity, and how that affects how we see the world, which is crucial for our work at a research institute.”

Vibs Bhatia

Senior Consultant, Climate Change and Sustainability Services, Ernst & Young LLP

“In 2022, I had the pleasure to work with Taimour on introducing eco-anxiety safe spaces in EY’s internal Eco-Innovators colleague network. We ran 10 pilot sessions, engaging over 100 colleagues and creating a community space where they felt safe to share their worries and concerns, free of judgment. Additional to this, Taimour created a 4-week training course specific to Eco-Anxiety, for a handful of volunteers to be able to facilitate and hold relevant safe-spaces to support colleagues. His professionalism, support and delivery of sessions were flawless throughout our time working together. Taimour’s empathy and ability to communicate was exemplary, and showed the power and impact of being able to hold space for everyone’s challenges. The climate crisis is taking a toll on differing demographic groups, and this became apparent when speaking with colleagues situated in different parts of the world. Taimour was able to navigate through and connect with colleagues in every conversation and engagement, irrespective of their cultural background and language diversities. He was a real asset and we’re so grateful to have had his expertise and time.”
